9ice Singer Bites The Dust At APC Primary Election

9ice
Singer bites the dust at APC
primary election
Singer 9ice has joined the growing list of
casualties in the primary elections from
different political platforms.
Singer Abolore Akande » , popularly known as
9ice, is the latest of the entertainment
personalities to have lost out in the All
Progressive Congress, APC, primary elections
held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, losing out
on the chance to represent the Ogbomosho
North/Ogbomosho South/Orire Federal
Constituency in the House of Representatives
come 2015, as he was denied the ticket. He lost
the ticket to the son of an Ogbomoso high chief
Prince Akeem Oyewunmi who got a total of 270
votes with 9ice getting 142 votes.
It was not for lack of trying or efforts by the
Gongo Aso crooner, because going by his
campaign strategies where he made and
distributed customized palmwine, Zobo Drinks,
palm oil » and even rode on a horse » while
going to submit his nomination forms, he could
have clinched the ticket.
But the realities of politics is gradually dawning
on Nigerian entertainers who felt that their
popularity in the entertainment world could
translate into general acceptance in the political
field, as many of them have realised that it takes
more to succeed in the field of politics.
With the primary elections to choose those that
will represent the parties in the 2015 elections
almost rounding up in all the parties in the
nation, these entertainers have been tumbling
like a pack of cards, showing that the people and
the party stakeholders do not think they can give
them adequate representation or win at the
elections.
Only Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot has so far
been successful in picking up a ticket while the
likes of Kenneth Okonkwo, Tony Tetuila, Kenny
Saint Brown, Kate Henshaw, Dayo D1 Adeneye
and others have all bitten the political dust.

The Man Behind Kcee Success (E-money)

Limpopo crooner , Kcee never fails to
acknowledge his brother, E-money (Emeka
Okonkwo) in all of his songs. E-money is the
owner/CEO of music label, Five star music
and is solely responsible for financing KCee’s
music career.
Contrary to what people think, E-money is
Kcee’s younger brother and not his older
brother.
Five star music label also boasts of
Harrysong as one of its successful artistes
who is said to be the writer of most of
KCee’s songs, he is especially credited with
writing the hit song, Limpopo .

Davido and Diamond When The Going Was Good

Davido and Diamond when the going was
good
We can’t tell you what will happen tomorrow
but we can tell you that Davido and
Tanzanian music sensation Diamond
Platnumz are definitely not on good terms
anymore.
Davido had shot Diamond to continental
fame when he jumped on the remix of his
break out single, Number One which won
Diamond multiple awards in his country and
Africa but it looks as if the battle line has
been drawn.
Diamond beat Davido to multiple awards at
the just concluded Channel O awards in
South Africa and from our angle it seems
Davido is definitely not cool with it. Davido
and his brother Chairman HKN called out
Channel O for making them travel all the
way down to South Africa to give them nada .
We didn’t see the shots coming. But here is
the tea…
Yesterday Tanzanian rep at the just
concluded Big Brother Africa, Idris won the
Big Brother Africa ahead of Nigeria’s Tayo,
which let to Davido tweeting “N They cheat
again” shortly after the competition. This was
also a sub to Diamond who also hails from
Tanzania. That same yesterday, Diamond
won the African Artiste of the year at The
Future Awards… Which led to him tweeting
“Thanks God, we have Cheated another one
on The Future Awards Africa in Lagos
Nigeria… #SameDay #SameNight Thank you
Allah! ” you saw the bold?
A fan then told Diamond that Davido was
referring to BBA with his cheat claim which
Davido responded to with “God Bless You.”
Davido then went on to say “An ungrateful
stone will eventually fall… I will always be
grateful to pple that have helped me climb
this tall ladder of success ” which appears to
be another shot at the 25 year old artiste.
Diamond recently featured on Waje’s single,
Coco Baby .

Balotelli Charged By English FA

Balotelli Charged By English FA
For Instagram Post
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been charged
by the FA in relation to a recent post on social
media.
The charge against the Italy international relates
to an allegedly racist and anti-semitic comment
he made on Instagram.
"Mario Balotelli has been charged by the FA in
relation to a recent posting on social media,” the
FA said in a statement.
"It is alleged the Liverpool player breached FA
rule E3[1] in that his posting was abusive and/or
insulting and/or improper.
"It is further alleged that this is an 'aggravated
breach' as defined by FA rule E3[2] as it included
a reference to ethnic origin and/or colour and/or
race and/or nationality and/or religion or belief."
Balotelli had until 6pm on Friday to submit an
explanation for his comments to the FA and
having been charged, he now has until the same
time on December 15 to respond to the charge.
A Liverpool club spokesperson said, "We
acknowledge the FA's decision and the player
will work through the process to answer the
charge.
"While that process is ongoing, the club will not
be making any further comment."
The striker apologised himself on Monday,
tweeting: "I apologize if I've offended anyone.
The post was meant to be anti-racist with
humour. I now understand that out of context
(it) may have the opposite effect."
The 24-year-old, who will miss Liverpool's
Premier League game against Sunderland on
Saturday with a groin injury, has scored just
twice in his 14 appearances for Brendan
Rodgers’ side this season.

Meet Ladi Kwali The Woman in Nigeria #20Note

PHOTOS: Meet The Woman On
The N20 Note
Ladi Kwali (c.1925-1984) was a Nigerian potter.
She was born in the village of Kwali in the Gwari
region of Northern Nigeria, where pottery was a
common occupation among women. She learned
to make pottery as a child using the traditional
method of coiling. She made large pots for use
as water jars and cooking pots from coils of
clay, beaten from the inside with a flat wooden
paddle. They were decorated with incised
geometric and stylised figurative patterns.
Following the traditional African method, they
were fired in a bonfire of dry vegetation
Her pots were noted for their beauty of form and
decoration. Several were acquired by the Emir of
Abuja, in whose home they were seen by Michael
Cardew in 1950. In 1954, she joined Cardew's
pottery training centre in Abuja, its only woman
potter, where she learned to throw pots on the
wheel. She made dishes, bowls and beakers with
sgraffito decoration but also continued to
produce pots using her traditional hand building
and decorating techniques. Most of these were
glazed and fired in a high-temperature kiln and
therefore represent an interesting hybrid of
traditional African with western studio pottery.
Through Kwali's contact with Cardew, she and
her work became known in Europe, Britain and
America. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, her
work was shown to great acclaim in London at
the Berkeley Galleries. She became Nigeria's
best-known potter, was awarded a doctorate
and was made MBE in 1963. The Abuja Pottery
was renamed the Ladi Kwali Pottery and a major
street in Abuja is called Ladi Kwali Road.
Her picture appears at the back of the Nigerian
20 Naira bill.

Positive Impact To Men When Starring Women Breasts

AWKWARED: Staring At Women’s
Breasts Makes Men Live Longer
And Healthier- Dr. Karen
The study found that men who stare at women’s
bosoms for at least 10 minutes daily tend to live
longer than those who do not.
A previous research had shown that when men
are confronted with bosoms, or even bosom-
related stimuli, like bras, they tend to start
making bad decisions. It was pointed out in the
study that men would rather watch videos of
attractive women with lots of skin exposed and
be compensated with a lesser amount than
watch pastoral scenes where a large sum of
money would be offered as compensation.
“This indicates that parts of men’s brains
associated with reward, the pleasure centres, and
the sites of goal-directed motivation, were
shutting down the reasoning centres of their
brains, primarily the pre-frontal cortex.
Neurochemicals were activating those reward
and motivational circuits to drive men toward
taking smaller amount of money. So bosoms are
mightily tempting,” the study said.
Regardless, study has shown that staring at the
bosoms for a length of time is beneficial to the
men’s health.
The study done by a German scientist, Dr. Karen
Weatherby, and published in the New England
Journal of Medicine, said staring at women’s
bosoms is not only healthy, but also elongates
the life span of such men.
As much as men love the female bosoms, usually
for aiding their sexual satisfaction and other
reasons, a study has shown that there are life-
changing health benefits of staring at women’s
bosoms, such as lowering blood pressure and
reducing the instance of coronary artery disease.
Even though men would like to maintain straight
face while talking to women, the male eyes
usually have a way of drifting down.
